Local Shopping Hot Spot Extending Trading Hours Around The Clock During Commonwealth Games
Benowa Village Shopping Centre is providing convenience and family fun for shoppers during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games period starting from 6am April 4 till 9pm April 16.
Coles will be trading non-stop 24 hours a day to give customers the chance to shop in off-peak times, helping to minimise traffic delays and large queues at the checkout.
Centre Manager, Kelly Golf of LJ Hooker Commercial Gold Coast said the retail centre is expected to have an influx of trading during the Commonwealth Games similar to what was experienced during the Christmas rush.
“Because of the central location to many of the sporting events and being situated on a major Games travel route, Benowa Village Shopping Centre is delivering a great shopping experience and helping to minimise stress by extending the opening hours,” said Golf.
“To make things even easier people can order online using the Coles website.
“There will be dedicated ‘Click and Collect’ allocated parking bays where customers just call a mobile number and their shopping is delivered right to their car.
“Speciality retail outlets in the centre will also be extending their opening hours during this time.
“Popular café, Stella Rossa, located on the outside of the centre will be catering to hungry customers and offering a 10 percent discount to anyone who shows their staff or event access pass during the Games.
“From April 3 to April 5 kids can share in the spirit of the Games by decorating their own medals to take home in free workshops.
“These extended hours are expected to help take pressure off customers during this busy time whether they are locals, visitors to the Gold Coast or athletes and Games staff who need to access a shopping centre with ease.”
